8+ Ways You May Qualify for ACP!

The government’s Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) was created to help people stay connected to broadband service. The good news: You might qualify for ACP based on your participation in other government assistance programs.1

You may qualify if you, your child or a dependent currently participate in any of the following:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • Medicaid
  • Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance
  • Veterans Pension and Survivor Benefits
  • Free and Reduced-Price School Lunch or Breakfast Program (or enrollment in a Community Eligibility Provision School)
  • Federal Pell Grant program (grant received in the current award year)
or

If you live on qualifying Tribal lands, you may be eligible if you, your child or a dependent are currently enrolled in:

  • Any of the federal assistance programs listed above
  • Bureau of Indian Affairs General Assistance Program

Less Hassle, More Mobile Broadband Services for You

For most people, demonstrating eligibility is easiest based on your participation in one of the government assistance programs listed above. You can use an official letter or document showing your enrollment, such as:

  • a benefit award letter
  • an approval letter
  • a statement of benefits
  • a benefit verification letter

Make a copy or take a picture of the documents that prove you participate in a qualifying government assistance program. Never send the originals with your ACP application! Just be sure the copy or picture is clear.

There are three ways to submit your completed ACP application and eligibility documents:

  1. Mail them to this address:
    ACP Support Center
    P.O. Box 7081
    London, KY 40742
  2. Send them online, if you have access, through the National Verifier website
  3. Contact a participating broadband provider such as Assurance Wireless for their application process.

Assurance Wireless is a provider of California Lifeline, a government assistance program. Offer available for eligible CA customers only & is non-transferable. Discounts provided by the California & federal Lifeline programs are limited to one per household (landline or wireless). A household is defined as any individual or group of individuals who live together at the same address & share income & expenses. Consumers who willfully make false statements in order to obtain the benefit can be punished by fine or imprisonment or can be barred from the program. Unlike a traditional wireline phone, a wireless handset may be removed from the home. By removing a wireless cell phone from a residence that does not have other phone services, residents may not have a way to make 911 calls during an emergency. Also, wireless service may experience interruptions due to weather conditions, terrain or gaps in service coverage. Phone models may vary; shipping charges may apply. Plan: Unused data does not roll over. Add'l. Services: Data & Int'l. plans require add-on purchases. Accessing voicemail draws from plan or add’l. mins. Customers can use Assurance Wireless svc. on pay-as-you-go plan after termination of Lifeline svc. When account is switched to pay-as-you-go plan & inactive for 125 days, on day 126, account will be closed & any unused service balance & telephone number will be lost. State & local sales taxes & fees may apply. Minimum Top-Up of $5 may be required. Other terms: Offers not avail. in all states/areas & may vary by state. Coverage not avail. everywhere.
