How do I use the internet and turn Wi-Fi on and off?

Using the internet on your new phone is easy. Here are the steps to get you connected:

  • Open your preferred web browser (e.g., Chrome, Safari).
  • Enter a term or URL into the Search Bar and hit enter.
  • You can now browse the internet, search for information and visit websites.

If you’re having trouble connecting, make sure your Mobile Data is turned on.

  • Go to the Settings app on your phone.
  • Tap "Network & Internet" > "Mobile Network" or "Cellular".
  • Enable Mobile Data: Toggle the mobile data switch to "On".

Connecting to Wi-Fi helps you save on monthly cellular data.

  • Go to the "Settings" app on your phone.
  • Tap the "Wi-Fi" or "Network & Internet" > "Wi-Fi".
  • Choose your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks.
  • Enter Password: If the network is secured, enter the Wi-Fi password.
  • Tap "Connect". Once connected, you should see a Wi-Fi icon in the status bar.

Tips for Managing Data Usage

  • Wi-Fi Preference: Use Wi-Fi whenever possible to save on mobile data.
  • Data Saver Mode: Enable data saver mode in your phone's settings to reduce data usage.
  • Monitor Usage: Check your data usage in the "My Account" portal to avoid exceeding your data limit.
