How Do I Find My Phone's IMEI Number?
An (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is a unique 15-digit number assigned to every mobile device (like smartphones and some tablets) that connects to a cellular network. An IMEI acts like a digital fingerprint for your phone.
When choosing to bring your own phone, you’ll need to locate and provide your IMEI number as you start your new plan with Assurance Wireless.
Here’s the fastest way to find your phone’s 15-digit IMEI:
- Dial *#06# on your phone
- Check your phone's "Settings" menu
- Check for a label under your battery
A few ways to find your IMEI:
- Go to "Settings"
- Tap "About Phone"
- Tap "Status"
- Scroll down to locate the IMEI number
- Remove the battery from your device
- Locate the IMEI number on the inside of your device
- You can also find the number on your phone's packaging
- Go to "Settings"
- Tap "General"
- Choose "About"
- Scroll down to locate the IMEI number
- Remove the battery from your device
- Locate the IMEI number on your device (or eject SIM Card and locate number on SIM Card tray)
- You can also find the number on your phone's packaging
- Press the "Windows" key
- Go to "Settings"
- Select "Network & Internet"
- Select "Cellular"
- Select "Advanced Options"
- The IMEI number will be listed in the "Connection Properties"
- Dial code: Enter *#06# on the phone keypad to instantly display your IMEI
- Physical location: Check the back of your phone near the SIM Card slot for IMEI number
